Pull up a bench.. have a seat. I found this bench chained to a tree next a creek on a trail near the college where I work.
There were hundreds of these Tiger Swallowtails hanging around this tree enjoying the nectar from the flowers. I don't know what kind of tree it was, but they all thought it was quite tasty.
This is what squirrels do when it's 90℉ outside. And you were expecting a Chippendale.. shame on you.
A nice balmy rainy day in spring.. and this Cooper's Hawk is wise enough to stand it's ground. Don't mess with my dinner man.
Winter is almost over. There has been a large aggressive female Cooper's Hawk haunting the bird feeders all winter, however there has been no sign of her over the past few weeks. Now there is a very patient male Sharped Shinned Hawk keeping watch over the bird feeders. He frequently sits still for hours at a time, waiting for any unobservant quarry to fall into his trap.
This is a unique kitchen I shot on a recent real estate photo shoot.
I went for a walk at lunch down by the creek at the college where I work and saw hundreds of butterflies feasting on nectar from all the flowers. I think this one is a Pearl Crescent.
Carla http://gbgimages.com and I stumbled upon this church while on a photo walk in Cumberland, MD. I like the ominous looking sky. And the modern parking meter adds a bit of contrast and irony. You can pay the parking meter with a credit card and get a "parking pass" to stick on your dashboard. No more parking meters.
Walking around with my friend Carla http://gbgimages.com on a hot summer morning, we stumbled onto this abandoned Mack tow truck sitting behind Furlow's Garage in Cumberland, MD. I think it'd make a great restoration project.
